The guy is one of the best players on the planet. He's finally made up his mind on a very difficult decision. If he wants to play for the U.S., we're definitely glad to have him.

The guys showed they wanted to turn this thing around and I think we took a big step forward in doing that.

He pitched some big games for his country as a real young fellow. The type of year he had really boded well for him, as well as his experience.

He's not a guy you want to leave open for a big shot but at the same time you give him time to feed someone a pass and he'll burn you that way.

If he was 100%, he would be on the club. He'd probably be the No. 1 or 2 starter. That's how I feel about him.

If he decides he's going to play, I'd love to have him. Every 10 minutes, something else comes out. When we toe it up in March, if he wants to play, he'll be on our squad.

He's the type of player that anyone would want.

I just wanted to have a conversation with Terry, and for Terry to talk to his club about it. Our focus is for the teams and players to stay on the field and play ball. Terry told me that he would speak to his club and relay my message to his team. I'm satisfied with that. We want to let the other stuff that goes on be taken care of upstairs.

I'm waiting to hear from the union. I haven't gotten any word. We haven't been allowed to talk to him. The union is handling all of that. We'll just play it by ear.
